The Importance of Creativity

I believe that creativity is extremely important and essential in whatever career path you may choose. However, in our society, creativity is not encouraged. In fact, it is even viewed as somewhat of a disability. We are told to worry about "the creative ones" as we praise the mathematically inclined. The hierarchy of our educational system is clearly swayed. In order for our society to advance, we must encourage and foster creativity. Children start out creative, but as they are further educated they become less and less so. Parents encourage their children to steer clear of creative future careers and emphasize the stability of the maths and sciences. As a whole, we must ask ourselves how can we advance our society if we continue to settle for the safe choices and never push the envelope.

  1. I agree, and another serious thing that tends to take place with this subject are the dangers that some of these hopeless artists find their selves in. It’s crazy because some of these creative artists make their selves the victims by performing negative actions that may lead to a suicidal death. This is just to show us how manipulative and cruel this world can be. I just think that those people going around putting down the hopes of others need to fall back, and just worry about their own business. I mean if you don’t have anything nice to say, then keep those harsh comments to yourself unless your opinion is needed or asked. Simple as that.. The only true judge of us is the Lord heaven Almighty..
